Hi, I'm Nic, I run Pilates Fit Portishead.

I've been teaching Pilates in Portishead since 2019 & I am passionate about helping clients to move better.

I teach modern mat Pilates with small equipment.

I offer a range of different class types so there is a class to suit all levels.

I have a particular interest in supporting clients with osteoporosis & osteopenia.

I offer a variety of group Pilates classes in Portishead, North Somerset, designed to cater to different needs and abilities. Here's a quick overview of what's available:

Seated & Supported Pilates

This 40-minute class focuses on building strength and maintaining mobility. It involves a mix of standing and seated work using a chair for support, with no floor work.

Gentle Pilates

This 55-minute class also aims to build strength and maintain mobility. It includes standing and seated chair work, along with exercises on a mat. You'll need to be able to get down to and back up from the floor (with chair support if needed). We adapt classic Pilates exercises for all abilities and incorporate plenty of stretches.

Mixeed Ability Pilates

These 55-minute mixed-ability classes are perfect for both complete beginners and those with some Pilates experience. We include many classic Pilates exercises and I tailor each class to the attendees, adapting exercises as needed and making them more challenging when appropriate.

Intermediate Pilates

These classes are typically faster-paced than the Mixed Ability classes and include more advanced exercises like shoulder stands and roll-overs. We focus on flowing sequences with more reps & less demonstrations.

Buff Bones®

This 55 min class is a mix of Pilates, balance work and strength training. Buff Bones® is not a piecemeal approach to exercise for bone density. It’s an entire movement system for bone and joint health that works on multiple skills no matter your level. Strength training is set on a solid foundation, helping you prevent fractures and future proof your bones – and body for the years to come.

You can check out the full timetable here.
